I saw a house that had significant mold damage on the main level caused by sitting water in the basement. I estimated repairs that factor in the removal of the mold.
In situations like this, how can you tell that the drywall will be reusable once the mold is removed. I talked it over with someone who has done mold remediation before, and he said that in most cases the dry wall is salvagable and would assume so in this instance as well, although he hasn seen the home personally to confirm.
It would be great to hear from anyone who has been through this scenario before. Are there any signs to look for or do you just have rely on an experts opinion?
I would think every situation is different. But, I sold a house last summer with extensive mold damage throughout the attic and the mold had spread into the main bedroom ceiling drywall. We were able to salvage it easily. Painted over it after mold remediation. I do what you doing have someone see your exact situation. Look at the condition of the drywall, the stains our stains were very bad and needed killz to cover. But, the drywall was hard and flat, so it worked. btw, a mold remediation company does at least you need to make sure this is in the contract b/c they are supposed to do a subsonic type I can remember the name, I need to look at the contract we had of treatment to the house. Basically, they do an ultrasonic thing to the house that kills any mold spores. I sure someone here will have better info for you. But I hope this helps some. I can go back and look this contract up if you need it.

This event has been set up to benefit the Santa Bear Christmas Crusade, who gives toys to kids ages 2 8 of underprivileged Hammond families for the holidays. The price of admission to the breakfast with Santa Bear is just one new, unwrapped toy from each child who attends. Youre always welcome to bring more if you would like. The toughest age group to get enough toys for tends to be the 7 to 8 year olds. So, if you can bring more than one gift, please make at least one of them for these guys.
In addition to toys, the Santa Bear Christmas Crusade is also in need of monetary donations. Their goal this year is $15,000. But, with theslow economy, theyve only been able to raise about half of their goal so far. Theyre afraid that if they are unable to meet their goal, they may have to start turning away Hammond families in need from the applicationsthat have already been turned in. They would love to be able to help all the applicants instead of turning to a lottery system.

<br />A good friend of mine asked me to look into property that his Grandfather owned, his Grandfather G/F just passed. His Grandmother passed less than a year ago, they were married over 55 years. This women who happens to be a certified nurses aid and mightve worked with his wife or him as an aid professionally approaches G/F and tells him that shes a nurse and can help him out, but to help him with his legal affairs he should marry her. He did marry her, she then added herself to his deeds within two months, two months later she deeds them out of his her name to a relative of hers in another state for $10 each, G/F dies three months later now with no estate. No cash, jewelry or homes. This was all done in a span of seven months. There are children of the G/f, but they their selves are incapacitated. This mess is left to grandchildren half the country away to deal with. No one has money to hire an attorney to take this woman to court. The Police the Prosecutors offices both said, he married her so theres nothing they can do.

<br />G/F was in his 80s, the woman in her late 50s, they never lived together as man and wife, infact she was/is living with a guy.
<br />
<br />I found all this out when looking up his deeds for my friend. She herself wrote out all the new deeds in her own hand writing, so she knew exactly what she was doing when it comes to real estate. No one had known what she was up to.

<br />When the G/F died, she rushed to have him cremated, against his wishes. The family feels that she might have poisoned him, why else the rush to cremate against his wishes?

<br />If you have older family out there with any nest egg, even a small one, there are people out there looking to take it, with impunity no less. Check your older relatives deeds, if they are online it usually takes less than five minutes to do.

<br />I cant believe how easy this is for this woman to get away with cheating needy heirs of their inheritance maybe even murder.
